Aardman Animations Does Have Its Next Supplier In Place

It seems everything is going to be okay. Aardman, the claymation animation studio behind Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep has released a statement clarifying the status of their clay supply in what some are going as far as calling it a denial that they are not running out of material.
The Daily Telegraph had reported that the studio only had enough modeling clay for one more film, their second Wallace & Gromit feature, after its main supplier, Newclay Products, had closed in March as the directors retired. Released to their socials Monday afternoon local time, the statement read:
We are touched about recent concerns over the future of our beloved clay creations, but we want to reassure fans that there is absolutely no need to worry.
We have high levels of existing stocks of modelling clay to service current and future productions, and, much like Wallace in his workshop, we’ve been tinkering away begins the scenes for quite some time with plans to ensure a transition to new stocks to continue to make our iconic productions.

It’s hopefully safe to say that their next release, Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, directed by Sam Fell and starring Thandiwe Newton, Zachary Levi, and Bella is most certainly not Aardman’s penultimate film. It will release on December 8 in limited release before its Netflix release the following Friday, December 15.
