'Clone High' Revival Releases First Look Photos, Cast Details, And Premiere Date?
20 years since the lone season, it’s almost time for another thawing
Clone High’s return is officially upon us. The former one-season wonder had a panel at WonderCon on Friday, providing a more-definitive first look than the thawing close-up shared before. Series stars Will Forte (Abe), Nicole Sullivan (Joan as in of Arc), creators and executive producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and several crew members were on hand to reveal not only a spring premiere window but a full rundown of the new cast situation.
Not only are Forte and Sullivan back in their roles but so are Lord and Miller as Scudworth and JFK and Mr. Butlerobot respectively. As expected however, Gandhi, who was voiced by Michael McDonald is not returning, due to depiction controversies that occurred during the run of the original series. In addition, in an effort of representation seen across the industry in the wake of the killing of George Floyd, Christa Miller is no longer the voice of Cleo(patra), but instead the new character Candide Simpson. This is not unlike Central Park, where the character of Abby was created for Kristen Bell after she abdicated the role of Molly to Emmy Raver-Lampman. Now, Cleo will be played by Iranian-American actor Mitra Jouhari.
The series’ new voice cast also includes Ayo Edebiri as Harriet (as in Tubman); Vicci Martinez as Frida (yup, Kahlo); Kelvin Yu as Confucius; Neil Casey as Topher Bus; Jana Schmieding as Sacagawea; Sam Richardson as Wesley; Mo Gaffney as Ms. Grumbles; Al Madrigal as Frederico; Danny Pudi as Dr. Neelankavil; Emily Maya Mills as Ethel Merman. There’s also Michael Bolton as Michael Bolton, Mandy Moore as Mandy Moore, Ian Ziering as Ian Ziering and Steve Kerr as Steve Kerr but it’s unclear if it’s their genuine selves or clones. Jeffrey Muller, Kyle Lau, Dannah Phirman, and Danielle Schneider appear in undisclosed roles. More images are below.

Getting back to that spring date, it seems that the specific date has actually been discovered, thanks to its HBO Max page, which is full of character headshots. What more, when linked to, is titled with “Premieres May 18”. With the original series arriving on April 14, this might mean that the two new seasons ordered will be listed separately from the first. Of course, when the show’s creators are behind Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse and Ted Lasso respectively, that certainly gave them the leverage for this revival to happen, and after two years, it’ll be worth the wait.
