HBO Max's 'The Penguin' Series Adds Four To Its Cast
The 'The Batman' spinoff has been building quite a bit in recent weeks
The The Batman spinoff series working under the title The Penguin at HBO Max has added Theo Rossi, Michael Zegen, James Madio, and Scott Cohen, all in recurring roles. Rossi’s is described as especially key.
The limited series, set for eight episodes, follows Colin Farrell as his iteration of Oswald Cobblepot, The Penguin, from last year’s Matt Reeves-directed film from DC and Warner Bros. The four join a supporting cast that includes Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone and Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni. Zegen is set to play Alberto Falcone, who is Sofia’s sister and they are the children of Carmine Falcone, played by John Turturro in the film. Madio, Cohen and Rossi however, like Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Deirdre O’Connell, have no character information known, whether released by HBO Max or through industry sources.
Zegen is best known for his role in Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but was also gangster Bugsy Siegel in Boardwalk Empire, with other roles in The Walking Dead, Girls, Rescue Me, and Happy-ish. His film roles include Adventureland. Rossi is best known for his starring gigs on Sons of Anarchy and Luke Cage, while his film credits include last year’s Emily the Criminal. Madio might be best known for his role in the HBO series Band of Brothers, and most recently appeared in The Offer. Cohen’s TV credits include The Americans, Billions, Gilmore Girls, Necessary Roughness and The Equalizer.
