Netflix Has Released The 'Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: Once And Always' Trailer
The 30th anniversary special will premiere in April
It’s morphin’ time! Just as the fandom was getting restless at a lack of marketing from Netflix and Hasbro, Netflix came through with the trailer for Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Once And Always, the 30th anniversary special serving as the biggest onscreen reunion of that cast era in the show’s history,
Right off the bat, we get our first look at Robo-Rita, voiced by Rita Repulsa’s voice actress Barbara Goodson. She deploys putties for the Rangers to fight, and it is shown exactly how Trini (whose actress Thuy Trang died in 2001) is written out. It is direct and upfront in a way that Power Rangers had never been before, at least in the TV series. Of course her daughter Minh isn’t taking what happened well. Billy then discovers what Robo Rita’s plan is: to go back in time and kill all the Mighty Morphin’ Rangers before Zordon could recruit them. Enjoy that trip to Australia I guess.
He and Zack get Alpha, voiced by Richard Horvitz, to remand all Rangers to their assigned stations, which summons Kat and Rocky to the Command Center. They roll out to more fights, get well wishes from Adam and Aisha, and they even make it back inside the Angel Grove Juice Bar, truly more of Angel Grove than we’ve seen in nearly 25 years, and then it finishes off with an original Zord sprint. Watch the trailer below, I might do a breakdown of all the little things seen in it, who knows. Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Once And Always premieres April 19 exclusively on Netflix
