The Enterprise Becomes A New Boimler Room In The Full Trailer For 'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds' Season 2

Who's ready for a crossover? On Doug Jones's birthday, and after several reported TV spots on international linear homes, Paramount+ released the full trailer for season two of original seriesĀ Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
This season, Captain Christopher Pike (played by Anson Mount)'s U.S.S. Enterprise crew continues its journey through space,Ā confronting increasingly dangerous stakes in uncharted territories and encountering new life and civilizations. All that while venturing throughĀ personal journeys that will continue to test their resolve and redefine their destinies where no destiny had gone before.Ā
Paramount+ Will Fully Integrate Showtime In June
The march toward ending Showtime as a standalone brand in Paramount's portfolio continues. As first revealed last week in an email sent to Showtime subscribers who subscribe through Apple, the merged Paramount+ with Showtime service will launch on June 27. establishing it as the companyās top-tier streaming product without commercials.
Speaking of unexplored territory, this season will see the unusual cross-medium crossover, as Lower DecksĀ USSĀ CerritosĀ ensigns Beckett Mariner and Brad Boimler, voiced byĀ Tawny Newsome andĀ Jack Quaid will beam aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise reprising the roles in live action. The episode is directed by Jonathan Frakes.Ā There will also be an animated portion set in Lower Decks's era that will bring at least some ofĀ Strange New Worlds's characters into it so it's not so one-sided. And according to Quaid, Boimler will get to do his signature screamĀ while there. WhileĀ Boimler and Spock, played by Ethan Peck, have an awkward exchange, the latterās drinking romp with Klingons is shown again, he makes out with Nurse Christine Chapel, played by Jess Bush and even takes the captainās chair at some point.
There are also scenes of Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk hanging with Uhura as their friendship builds and on the run with Carol Kane's new engineer character Pelia. In addition to Mount as Pike, Peck as Spock, Chapel as Bush, and Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds starsĀ Rebecca Romijn as Una Chin-Riley, Christina Chong as LaāAn Noonien-Singh, Melissa Navia as Erica Ortegas and Babs Olusanmokun as Joseph MāBenga. Season 2 premieres June 15 on Paramount+, and season three is already ordered.
