'Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi' Has Been Confirmed To Return For Season 2
It's quite the interesting surprise coming out of Star Wars Celebration
Dave Filoni continues to do a lot and continues to have a lot of power. Not only is he handling so much with the live-action Star Wars series, now directing a film to culminate his little part of the world, but he’s kept his heart in the animation he began with The Clone Wars, which premiered in 2008.
At the end of Star Wars Celebration Europe’s panel celebrating the 15th anniversary of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Filoni announced that a second season of Tales of the Jedi is coming. No word on who told who was doing what, whether it was actually renewed or they just let him do his thing, but he did state it "was so fun the first time, I decided to do some more." The first season was a series of six episodes (shorts long enough to meet an 11-minute minimum) that even split the focus between Count Dooku’s fall and an adventure for post-The Clone Wars pre-Rebels Ahsoka story. Again, no details on the format, focus, or anything but it’ll be intriguing to find out. There are probably plenty of Jedi to choose from, after all.
More substantial news from the animated realm of Star Wars will come Sunday’s third and final day of Celebration, with panels for both The Bad Batch and Visions.
