The Teaser For 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem' Has Been Released
Pizza for everyone!
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to write the review as I was hoping as the circumstances of how the subject became available have made it unavailable again. Apologies for the inconvenience. However, I’m still able to afford an exclusive article…because I was beaten to it at the other site, and I still want to write about it. As promised over the weekend, Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures released the teaser for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem on Monday morning.
First off, the trailer uses a Nickelodeon Movies logo that brings back the 2008 splat? That’s pretty cool. There’s even a slowed-down version of the classic theme. Executive producer Seth Rogen calling himself a permanent teenager? Very cute. The boys are using katana and shuriken to slice watermelons, apparently as video creators. Ah teenagers and their stunts. The emphasis on teenagerhood is very apparent. Splinter’s got some big hair, Bebop’s got a loooong snout. Donnie used to be an adventurer like us, but then he took a sai to the knee. The trailer finishes with April, who is indeed black again asking the Turtles about themselves and how they came to be. The animation is beautiful and the look is being called Spiderverse-like but there are plenty of its experimental ilk.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem stars Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Micah Abbey as Donatello, and Brady Noon as Raphael. Ayo Edibiri is the voice of April O’Neil, Rogen and John Cena are Bebop and Rocksteady. In addition, Giancarlo Esposito is Baxter Stockman, Paul Rudd is Mondo Gecko, Ice Cube is Superfly, Natasia Demetriou is Wing Nut, Post Malone is Ray Fillet, Hannibal Burress is Genghis Frog, and Rose Byrne is Leatherhead. Directed by Jeff Rowe, the film will be released in theaters on August 4, 2023 nationwide. You can watch the trailer below
