'Wake Up Dead Man' Dreams Of A Blanc Christmas At Netflix Tudum
The release date was the second reveal at Netflix’s Tudum event
Thou shalt be seated, Netflix’s Tudum promotional event has begun. After releasing the final season trailer for Squid Game, the streamer was ready to announce the release date for Wake Up Dead Man, the third Knives Out mystery from director Rian Johnson and starring Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc. The film will be released on December 12, 2025, and a teaser trailer that carried the date was unveiled Saturday night.
Johnson, Craig, Kerry Washington, Josh Brolin, Jeremy Renner, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Mila Kunis were all on hand for the preview, with Glenn Close appearing on video claiming she was “stuck in traffic.” They’re just a small portion of the ensemble that also includes Josh O’Connor, Andrew Scott, Thomas Haden Church, Annie Hamilton, Kerry Frances and Marcus Edward Bond. While a synopsis hasn’t been given, the teaser demonstrates a very church-centric story, with what Blanc calls “the impossible crime. Brolin and O’Connor are both playing priests, and Kunis portrays police chief G. Scott in what was the biggest character-identifying news of the film to this point.
