Andrew Lewis Caldwell Hammers His Way To Recurring Role On 'Spider-Noir'
One more to add, or highlight in this case, on the list
Turns out there was one actor I missed covering in the casting process for Sony Pictures Television’s upcoming Spider-Man Noir series Spider-Noir starring Nicolas Cage for MGM+ and Prime Video. Back in November, Andrew Lewis Caldwell was cast in a recurring role, and there’s no reason he should be the only one left out.
If he looks familiar to any of you readers, especially those who were watching kids networks in the mid-to-late 2000s, it’s because Caldwell played Thor, the kid from Minnesota Jackson Stewart befriended in the early part of the second season of Hannah Montana, appearing in three episodes only to never be seen again. There’s also his role as Alvin “Bubba” Bixby in the 2007 Nickelodeon TV movie Shredderman Rules, or Billy “Gravy” Graves from Good Luck Charlie, PJ’s friend from Kwikki Chikki training and who in the series finale leaves his food truck to him allowing PJ a bright future. One may also remember him from season 3 of iZombie. Voicing Randy Cunningham’s best friend Howard Weinerman on Disney XD’s Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninjas, Caldwell also managed to recur as bully Mitch Bilsky on Henry Danger, a role he continued across both spinoffs The Adventures of Kid Danger and Danger Force. His other film roles include Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny, the first Transformers, College, All About Steve, and My Best Friend’s Girl. In the 2020s he began using his middle name professionally, in roles including The Matrix Resurrections.
MGM+, Prime Video’s Spider-Man Series 'Spider-Noir' Casts 8 In Recurring Roles
It seems Prime Video and MGM+’s Spider-Noir has finished casting its main roles, because now they have filled…
Spider-Noir stars Cage as a Spider-Man Noir different from the one he voiced in Sony’s Spider-Verse films, even so far that this one is not a Peter Parker variant, at least as has previously been said, and even so many months later that has not been reconfirmed. This Noir is described as an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero. The series also stars Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson, the only known character with a name, and it’s a comics character too. Brendan Gleeson, Jack Huston, Abraham Popoola and Li Jun Li, play a villain, bodyguard with a currently-unrevealed assignment, World War I veteran looking for an opportunity to get ahead and nightclub singer characters respectively. Karen Rodriguez is also a series regular but her character doesn’t even have a job description. The other recurring cast includes Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Robinson and Amy Aquino. Kai Caster will appear as a guest star, with a character tied to another.
Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot are Spider-Noir’s executive producers/co-showrunners, and developers of the series with fellow executive producers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller via their banner Lord Miller, under their overall deal and Amy Pascal via Pascal Pictures. Aditya Sood and Dan Shear also executive produce as part of Lord Miller. Harry Bradbeer will executive produce as well and direct the first two episodes. The series will premiere domestically on MGM+’s linear channel, then globally on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories, though it’s unclear whether that includes the United States.
'Spider-Noir' Hides In The Garaks, Casting Andrew Robinson To Recur
Make that an even ten recurrers for Spider-Noir, the upcoming MGM+ and Prime Video live-action Spider-Man Noir series starring Nicolas Cage. The series has cast Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’s Andrew Robinson and Bosch’s Amy Aquino. However, like the eight other recurrers that preceded them, no character details have been revealed.
