'Gremlins' Sets Premiere Date, Guest Stars For 'The Wild Batch' B-Side
Five new episodes will hit the Max feed after midnight (Pacific) on April 10
Warner Bros. Animation might be having a pretty good March on Max, with the final drop of Jellystone! on Thursday, featuring the long awaited “Crisis on Infinite Mirths” Cartoon Network crossover and two final and posthumous performances by George Lowe as Space Ghost, and more Tiny Toons Looniversity arriving later this month, as Harley Quinn finishes its latest season. Even still, the company is preparing for next month, and that includes announcing the back five episodes of Gremlins’s second season The Wild Batch will premiere on the streamer on Thursday, April 10.
These episodes will see the chaotic antics of the mischievous Mogwai reach their peak as Gizmo, Sam and Elle confront unforeseen challenges and unexpected plot twists along their wild west adventure having come over from Shanghai. They’re bringing even more magic, mystery and Mogwai mayhem while on the trail of a new brood of evil Mogwai, coming up against new supernatural creatures and picking up a few mysterious characters along the way. Being only five episodes, the guest cast pool is thin, but packed with star power. We have Timothy Olyphant and Robin Weigert as American folklore legends Johnny Appleseed and Calamity Jane, while Yvette Nicole Brown and SungWon Cho (aka ProZD)’s roles have not been disclosed.
