'Hawkeye', 'Ahsoka', Next Seasons Of 'Loki' And 'The Mandalorian' Next 4K Blu-Ray Releases
These releases will mark the renewal of Dolby Vision HDR support, making them the first Marvel and 'Star Wars' Disney+ shows to have them
Disney is ready to unveil its next batch of Marvel and Star Wars Disney+ original series (and seasons) getting physical media releases. And with glorious purpose, they’ll have something the previous rounds never had. Season three of The Mandalorian, season one of Ahsoka, all of Hawkeye, and season two of Loki are the next to get 4K Blu-ray releases, but they’re packed with something the previous two rounds don’t have: support of Dolby Vision HDR masters. They will all be available to own on December 3, with pre-orders starting next Thursday, October 31.
As with those previous two rounds, which consist of WandaVision, the previous seasons of Loki and The Mandalorian, Andor season 1, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Moon Knight, all four titles will only be available in Steelbook collector’s editions, featuring exclusive artwork by artist Attila Szarka, collectors cards and new bonus features. These prior releases only had the core HDR10 masters as their only option. Dolby Vision, a master format readily available on Disney+, adds extra scene by scene data to the image stream that supportive 4K Blu-ray players and TVs utilize for more accurate and typically more energetic HDR pictures. For never-confirmed reasons and much to the confusion of audio-visual enthusiasts, Disney had stopped supporting the format on 4K Blu-ray after Star Wars: The Last Jedi back in 2018. These releases will also have Dolby Atmos soundtracks.
Each of the new releases will be spread across two 100 GB-capacity discs, up from the typical 66 GB discs Disney usually uses for its films’ 4K Blu-rays. The Mandalorian’s third seasons runs 339 minutes, Ahsoka 356 minutes, Hawkeye 279 minutes and Loki’s second season 297 minutes. This left some yearning for a third disc, while also hoping that the mastering arrangement with Sony will make certain that fans won’t have to worry about compression.
The special features have been fully described. Starting with Star Wars: The Mandalorian — The Complete Third Season, there’s “Honoring the Magistrate: A Tribute to Carl Weathers”, where Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni give due to the Rocky and Happy Gilmore actor who was a recurring co-star on the series as Greef Karga, before his death in February at the age of 76. “Galactic Legacy: The Creatures and Droids of The Mandalorian” spotlights the memorable creatures and droids of the third season, as well as the artists who create them. “Forging the Covert: Part Three” sees Favreau, Filoni and the other filmmakers filmmakers explore how the world of the Mandalorian warriors expanded this season. For Star Wars: Ahsoka — The Complete First Season, there’s “Ahsoka: Legacy” which takes a look at the show’s development, “Path of the Apprentice” does the same for Anakin and Ahsoka’s dynamic within the world between worlds, “Ghosts of the Past spotlights Ahsoka's allies: Sabine, Hera, Ezra and Chopper while “Darkness Rising” reveals the secrets of Ahsoka's foes.

Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye — The Complete First Season contains “A Tale of Two Hawkeyes” which discusses extending the Hawkeye legacy by bringing together Clint Barton and Kate Bishop, a gag reel full of outtakes, and its Assembled episode, but also thirteen deleted scenes. They are Follow the Trail, where young Kate leaves behind clues for a scavenger hunt, At The Stake, where Clint reluctantly celebrates with a group of fans in the city, Burning of the Suit, where he burns the Ronin suit, Kate’s First Day at Work, where she uses the inherent awkwardness of that situation to her advantage, “Ice Cream”, where young Maya learns her dad can't pick her up from practice, Detour, where Clint and Kate find an unmarked car in front of her apartment, Friends? where Maya and Kazi meet as kids while their fathers do business, “You Never Miss”, which explores Clint's relationship with his mom with childhood memories including them botching a robbery, “Moira Comes Home”, where she chases Clint and Kate out of her apartment, “Old Friend”, where Clint picks his archery back up, “Sorry”, where Maya and Clint have a post-battle moment of understanding, “Until It’s Done”, which has Eleanor take a dinner trip with a revealing, shocking insight, and “Boomerang” where Clint and Kate gather supplies to build trick arrows. The packaging gives it the “Christmas in NYC” vibes the setting of the miniseries has.
Marvel Studios’ Loki — The Complete Second Season will actually play in a different aspect ratio than the others, in a 2.20:1 aspect ratio, rather than the typical 2.39:1 ratio. Having its own gag reel and Assembled episode, the main featurette is “Loki Through Time”, where star Tom Hiddleston, studio president Kevin Feige and more explore and celebrate Loki’s history in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This season has fewer deleted scenes than Hawkeye, with only three, and they are “What Would You Like?” where Sylvie gets her job at the 1982 McDonald’s after leaving the Citidel at the End of Time, “Key Lime Break” where Loki and Mobius share a moment savoring a key lime pie in the TVA lunchroom, and “Roll Call” where Mobius comforts Loki in the midst of running off the names of all the people, some recognizable, who have spoken ill of him in the past. The cover has Loki take hold of the timelines with Ouroboros on the back with branches wild and other characters situated on land remnants.
