Know What It’s Like To See The Badlands With 'Predator: Badlands' Teaser Trailer

No one fights back as hard on their anger. The trailers that were first shown to exhibitors at CinemaCon are still making their way out and with a week still left in April, so they’ve been coming pretty fast. The latest? 20th Century Studios’s Predator: Badlands, which had its teaser trailer released Thursday as it heads toward its November 7 release in theaters, including IMAX.
In the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator, played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, is outcast from his clan and finds an unlikely ally in Thia, played by Elle Fanning, and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary. However, as the trailer reveals, Thia is no ordinary being, but a Weyland-Yutani synthetic, or android, belonging to the unethical megacorporation from the Alien franchise, like like Ash in Alien, Bishop in Aliens, David in Prometheus, and Andy in Alien: Romulus before her. One of their vehicles was also visible. No other cast have been revealed yet. This is the first attempt at connecting the franchises in their main continuity since 1990’s Predator 2 featured a Xenomorph skull among the Predator’s trophies. The franchises did cross over on the big screen in 2004’s Alien vs. Predator and 2007’s Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, which took place in its own continuity. Her dreams are not as empty as her conscience may to be.

Back when Predator: Badlands was being inserted into Disney’s theatrical release schedule over Blade’s production troubles, directly replacing it for a November 7 release there were rumblings of a second film in the franchise for the calendar year. This would be animated, an anthology even, much alike to
Dan Trachtenberg, who also directed the franchise’s 2022 prequel Prey, directed the film from a script he wrote with Patrick Aison, as they did the aforementioned prequel. He also produced alongside John Davis, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt, and Brent O’Connor. It will be Trachtenberg’s third film in the franchise, with the animated anthology Predator: Killer of Killers releasing on Hulu on June 6. It chronicles the Predator’s face offs in three different eras of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge, a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal succession battle, and a World War II pilot who takes off in his plane to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allies. As the logline goes “While all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent — the ultimate killer of killers.” Watch the Badlands teaser trailer below.
