Li Jun Li Swings Her Way To Amazon’s 'Spider-Noir'
The actress is the fourth member of the Spider-Man Noir series cast for MGM+ and Prime Video
Li Jun Li is working late. The Babylon actress has joined MGM+ and Prime Video’s Spider-Man Noir series Spider-Noir starring Nicolas Cage. While her character name is unknown, it’s a series regular role as a singer at the premier New York nightclub.
Li’s previous television work includes recurring on Damages, The Following, Blindspot, Quantico, Chicago PD, Sex/Life, Based on a True Story, and as Grace Ling on Evil. She was also a series regular on the Minority Report and The Exorcist series. Babylon has been her biggest film role yet, but is building on that as she is shooting the untitled Ryan Coogler/Michael B. Jordan film for Warner Bros., after having wrapped as the female lead in Paramount’s Alma and the Wolf.
With a cast that also includes Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson and Brendan Gleeson as the villain, Spider-Noir comes from Sony Pictures Television and tells the story of an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York who is not a Peter Parker variant, forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero. The series counts Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot as its executive producers/co-showrunners, and developers of the series with fellow executive producers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal.
Spider-Noir will premiere domestically on MGM+’s linear channel, then globally on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories, though it’s unclear whether that counts the United States for its streaming home too.
