Marvel’s ’Eyes Of Wakanda' Premiere Date Announced With Teaser Release

Marvel Studios’s latest Disney+ miniseries, or at least was conceived as one, the live-action Ironheart starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams reprising the role she began in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, completed the two-week rollout Tuesday night with its final three episodes, “Bad Magic”, “Karma’s a Glitch” and “The Past is in the Past”. With it over, it was time to tease what’s coming up next: Marvel Animation’s Eyes of Wakanda, the semi-anthological animated miniseries also executive produced by Ryan Coogler. Marvel released a sneak peek of the series that finally gave a specific date to the August window revealed so many months ago: August 27.
The 30-second peek is much more about showcasing Wakanda itself, however it does give the first look at The Lion, voiced by Cress Williams, in motion, possibly since the November glimpse. Without character descriptions, let alone revealing who’s asssigned to whom among Anika Noni Rose, Steve Toussaint, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Gary Anthony Williams and Zeke Alton, it’s difficult to effectively point out who’s appearing to do what. Only Winnie Harlow as Noni is known otherwise.
