Pixar Gives The World Anxiety In 'Inside Out 2' Teaser
The teaser is very likely attached to 'Wish', which releases on November 22
If there’s any consolation, expression is key. Disney and Pixar have released the teaser trailer for what is now its next film, Inside Out 2.
The sequel to Best Animated Feature Academy Award winner 2015’s Inside Out, it sees returns to the mind of now-13-year-old and therefore new teenager Riley, about two years after the events of the first film depending on when the first film’s ending jumps to. Headquarters is undergoing a surprise demolition as it makes room for new Emotions. Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation…mostly, are very concerned when Anxiety appears in front of them. And it looks like she’s not alone, with Ennui, Embarrassment, and Envy poised to join them.
Maya Hawke voices Anxiety, alongside the returning Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, and Lewis Black as Anger. Tony Hale and Liza Lapira are the new voices of Fear and Disgust, as Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling did not return probably because of unfair pay found in their disputed contract. The voices of Ennui, Embarrassment, and Envy are yet to be announced.
Inside Out 2 was originally announced at D23 Expo in September 2022. With a June 14, 2024 release date, it is Pixar’s next film. This is the case following the delay of Elio from March 2024 to a year after this film in June 2025. The teaser comes less than two weeks before Disney’s next animated film, Wish, likely attached in the film’s package of trailers. It is directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen. The first film’s writer, Meg LaFauve, returns as the writer of this film. Watch the teaser below.
