'Pokémon Horizons: The Search For Laqua' Part 2 Date Announced
We’ll have to wait until at least July for the 'Rayquaza Rising' arc to hit the States. Not that this affected that
The main Pokémon anime has never quite been part of the Pokémon Day Pokémon Presents, except for anime tie-ins through Pokémon Go snapshot surprises, with Horizons being completely absent from this year’s. However, Netflix came through with something of a bonus, revealing that the second part of the second season of Horizons: The Search for Laqua, will be released on April 25. The date reveal came as part of a broader kids and family content preview for both March and April in the United States that included an April 3 premiere for the next season of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.
The latest drop of episodes in the United Kingdom on February 17, just 10 days after the first 11 arrived in the States on February 7, show the hand of how big a drop we’re getting, and frankly the consistency is exquisite. It’s going to be another 11 episodes, covering episodes 57 to 67. This will neatly complete the “Terastal Debut” arc, as expected. Because of the British drop, we don’t need use the Japanese episode titles for approximation because we already have the English titles. They are “The Terapagos I Don’t Know”, “Food Fit for a Kingambit!”, “Dance, Quaxly! The Blue Medali Step!”, “Roy and Fuecoco's First Snow!”, “Resonating Spirits in a Challenge to Ryme!”, “A New Song for Fuecoco”, “Ice Battle! Cold-Eyed Grusha”, “The Approaching Shadow”, “Liko and Amethio”, “Infiltrating the System! Naranja Academy in Danger!”, and “Shine on, Terastallization! Liko vs. Roy!”. Coincidentally in Japan, the “Rayquaza Rising” arc they’re currently in is just about hitting its climax this week, Friday, March 14 with maybe a denouement next week. And they’re just about to hit episode 90, which would make The Search for Laqua about equal with the first season of Horizons in terms of dub season length. Now it’s not confirmed (and if it was to end this week or next it does not have equal warning) but even an episode to three beyond wouldn’t be all that bad. Whatever th next arc is hasn’t been announced yet either.
