‘Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends’ Renewed For Season 5 at Disney Jr.

It is a good time for Spider-Man cartoons indeed. For the older crowd Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has been renewed for season 3 and has previewed Gwen Stacy’s arrival in season 2. The preschool demo has had Spidey and His Amazing Friends on Disney Jr. since 2021 and been a huge success. But now, as season 3 winds down toward this summer’s fourth season premiere, the series has been renewed for a fifth season by Disney Branded Television.

Spidey and His Amazing Friends was Marvel’s first foray into the preschool demo, and it follows kid-aged Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, currently voiced by Alkaio Thiele, Gwen Stacy aka Ghost-Spider, currently voiced by Audrey Bennett, and Miles Morales aka Spin, voiced by Jakari Fraser, as they learn about teamwork, problem-solving and helping others by working with other superheroes to defeat their foes. Just how popular is the show? According to Nielsen, it was the second-most-watched streaming show among kids age 2-5, and remained #2 when just looking at boys 2-5, all pertaining to the last quarter of 2024. It falls short of Bluey, but still surpasses Paw Patrol and Cocomelon. It has amassed a billion hours watched on Disney Jr. and Disney+, and on the Disney Jr. and Marvel HQ YouTube channels, it has hit 2 billion views. Spidey ranks among the top five best-selling preschool toy licenses worldwide, according to Circana.
Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios produce Spidey and His Amazing Friends in association with Atomic Cartoons, with executive producers including Harrison Wilcox, Bart Jennett and Chris Moreno. Becca Topol is producer and story editor while Steve Grover is supervising producer. Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump is the series’ composer and songwriter, and theme song performer. A similarly-premised Iron Man-centric series called Iron Man and His Awesome Friends is set to premiere later this year.
