'Ted' Bears High School In Official Trailer For Peacock Event Series

Just two weeks after releasing the teaser and setting a premiere date, Peacock has now released the trailer for their Ted event series coming in January.
The trailer is introduced by creator and star Seth MacFarlane, and sees 1993 John, played by Max Burkholder, prepare the talking teddy bear for the horrors of high school, long after his moment in the sun of fame has passed. It’s at his cousin’s encouragement and was sealed by one too many mishaps. Set to “I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by The Proclaimers”, there’s bullies, health class, the very first doobie, and the pursuit of a lost virginity.

Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach also star as John’s parents Matty and Susan Bennett. The series also introduces cousin Blaire, played by Giorgia Whigham. As the official description states, Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.
MacFarlane also serves as writer, executive producer, co-showrunner, and director on the series. Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh are his co-showrunners and executive producers. Executive producers from his Fuzzy Door Productions company are Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, and Aimee Carlson. The series is produced by UCP, Fuzzy Door, and MRC. All seven episodes of the event series premiere on January 11, 2024, kicked off by a supersized premiere, with regular length being 30 minutes.
