Roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee’s dead; the morning’s looking bright. Adult Swim has released the cold open for this week’s new episode of Rick and Morty, “The Curicksous Case Of Bethjamin Button” airing Sunday, June 29 at 11 PM.
Once again, the cold open is the early preview. So far, only the premiere’s preview clip has not been. The sequence’s animatic also represented the episode in the titles reveal video. We’ve seen it follow both Beths’ lives in parallel. Earth Beth heads into work at the horse hospital, resuscitating a patient while Space Beth is busting alien criminals and rescuing a hostage. However they’re clearly not finding the joy in it, unhappily delivering news to family or hugging the freed child. The frowns don’t leave their faces in the drive home. This whole portion is set to the Cheers theme, which has a deep and poignant relationship with the Ice King in the Adventure Time franchise that Cartoon Network audiences recognize. When they pull into the Smith home, the family is going to EarthWorld, a theme park built by someone who’s never been to Earth but is so enamored to build a theme park around it anyway, but he’s also bad at theme parks. Rick tells them they’re driving while Jerry requests prepared food because theme park food doesn’t sit well with him. They both wholeheartedly reject going. Eventually the family relents.
'Rick And Morty’ “Cryo Mort A Rickver” Cold Open Released In Completely Animated, Cut-Off Form Ahead Of Air
Before Rick and Morty season 8 premiered, it would become clear that what fans, viewers, etc. had been shown beforehand the most ended up being from last week’s episode “The Last Temptation of Jerry”. The first two preview fully-animated preview clips were from it, including the opening scene, accomplishing it well before its airing. And the other airs …
Rick and Morty stars Ian Cardoni as Ricks, Harry Belden as Mortys, Chris Parnell as Jerrys, Spencer Grammer as any Summers, and Sarah Chalke as the Beths. This might be the last episode of the season that feels as if the animatics shown indicate the true nature of the episode. The season ends on July 27.
Hank Keeps Busy In First 'King Of The Hill' Clip
Peggy Hill has groan up. Hulu has released the first clip from its upcoming first revival season of King of the Hill, releasing August 4. And it seems Hank has become quite fond of a man he nearly didn’t vote for because of a limp handshake.
