Peggy Hill has groan up. Hulu has released the first clip from its upcoming first revival season of King of the Hill, releasing August 4. And it seems Hank has become quite fond of a man he nearly didn’t vote for because of a limp handshake.
Hank, Peggy, Dale, and Nancy, in her first appearance outside the intro sequence in her older state, are on a tour of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Hank takes time to look at the ceremonial first pitch ball Bush threw at Game 3 of the 2001 World Series between the Diamondbacks and Yankees. The docent is voiced by Jack McBrayer, who brings them to the offshore drilling unbanning legislation pen. A baseball and a pen? Even an unnamed character is bored by that. As much as Hank admires the docent’s respect for history, it’s an adrenaline rush that feels empty to Peggy, as she’s just as bored by it, who’s so bored she looks for a letter opener so she could find the end that way. Nancy is upset she’d leave her to the boredom alone. It’s very apparent Hank has been struggling with keeping himself busy in a fulfilling manner in his retirement.
