Disney Channel Renews 'Kiff' For Season 3; Sets Season 2 Premiere Date
Step right over and watch her put on a show, she’s the squirrel in your future
Disney Channel is finally climbing up the right tree. While there’s been a rash of endings at the channel, some more natural than others, and series orders are starting to pick up again, it’s felt like it’s been a long while since we’ve gotten renewal news. Now we’ve finally gotten it, renewing Kiff for a third season before its second premieres on March 15.
Creators Lucy Heavens and Nic Smal will continue as executive producers, with Kent Osborne as co-executive producer. Quinn Scott will serve the role of story editor in the new season. While no further season 3 details were given, the renewal news did come with a season 2 trailer, new key art, and rollout details. The new season comes after two specials that bridge it to the preceding, the Halloween special "The Haunting of Miss McGravy's House" and the The Lord of the Rings parody “The Lore of the Ring Light” which premiered in late January.
Season 2 will premiere on March 15 at 10 AM Eastern with two half hours of episodes, followed by singular half hours each week in the same timeslot. This has basically been how Disney Channel has operated its premieres since at least last year, though in some cases it’s doubles all the time. Its Disney+ arrival won’t be until summer, like how StuGo’s wasn’t so immediate either.
The new season sees Kiff, the squirrel that has traveled the Disney Channel multiverse for its theme songs, and her bunny best friend Barry embark on adventures that take them deeper into their ever-eccentric community of Table Town, where animals and magical oddballs navigate life, school, relationships, and the quirks of their offbeat and loveable universe. Kimiko Glenn and H. Michael Croner continue to lead as Kiff and Barry, respectively. The guest cast includes Robby Hoffman as Jackie Pennidotter; John Stamos as Hobart; Tim Heidecker as Rodney/Humphrey/Baby New Year; Petey USA as Dumb Bird; Orville Peck as Granite Rockberg; Sabrina Impacciatore as Mama Berry; Judy Greer as Rhonda; Diane Morgan as Secretary Mom; and Melissa Villaseñor as Jerry Jo/Jeffy.
