'Henry Danger: The Movie' Trailer Embraces The Reality Of Fanfiction
It’s all just sort of happening January 17 on Nickelodeon and Paramount+
Winter 2025 is going to be a feel good time for heroes and bubblegum, and Nickelodeon and Paramount+’s part is Henry Danger: The Movie, the feature film for the network’s hit series that originally ran from 2014 to 2020. Just three weeks after revealing its January 17 premiere date and releasing the teaser, the streamer as of Tuesday released the official trailer.
Said trailer starts with a look back at the last leg of Henry Hart (played by Jace Norman)’s sidekickdom as Kid Danger in the original series, before catching up to his independent heroics in Dystopia. However, he’s pulled away by superfan Missy Martin (Glee Dango)’s reality altering device that has trapped them in her The Adventures of Superfan and Kid Danger fanfic. Henry’s younger sister Piper is a vampiric villain, while Jasper’s Kraven-esque, can fly, because flying is cool, and is who Kid Danger is sidekick to. Even as they travel through multiple dimensions while trying to get home, they’ve still got to deal with vampire Piper and a few cohorts. And it looks like this will all be without Cooper Barnes’s Ray and Riele Downs’s Charlotte, truly forcing Henry to stand on his own as a hero.
Michael D. Cohen is back as Schwoz however, as is Frankie Grande as Frankini. Henry Danger: The Movie will premiere on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ on January 17 in the United States, with a 7 PM timeslot on the network. Internationally it will hit the streamer more immediately where available than Nickelodeon where it will premiere later in the year. And as it turns out, the completer feeling that Nickelodeon is turning the clock back by a decade is bringing the thunder sooner than expected.
