'Henry Danger: The Movie' Sets Premiere Date On Nickelodeon & Paramount+ With Teaser and Images
Grab your bubblegum, Henry Hart is back
It all just kind of happened, and now it’s all coming back again. Nickelodeon and Paramount+ are ensuring that 2025 looks a lot like 2015 by officially announcing Henry Danger: The Movie. The long-awaited movie of the long-running Nickelodeon series will premiere on January 17 in the United States on both platforms, with a 7 PM timeslot on the network. Internationally it will apparently hit the streamer more immediately where available than Nickelodeon where it will premiere later in the year.
According to the synopsis, Henry, played by Jace Norman, meets a superfan named Missy Martin, played by Glee Dango. She’s eager to fight crime with Kid Danger, but comes into possession of a device that can open up alternate realities. Facing a wild turned perilous ride, Henry will need her, who he’s taken on as a sidekick as well as his best friend Jasper (Sean Ryan Fox) to find his way out or be stuck in that alternate dimension forever. It seems the Dangerverse is ready to become multiversal.
Also returning for the movie are Ella Anderson as Henry’s sister Piper Hart, Michael D. Cohen as assistant Schwoz, and Frankie Grande as the villainous Frankini. Notably absent are Cooper Barnes as Ray Manchester aka Captain Man, whose shadow Henry stepped out of after years of being sidekick, and Riele Downs as Charlotte, Henry’s other friend who left with him and Jasper to the town of Dystopia and was by this point a cyborg.
Henry Danger was created by Dan Schneider and Dana Olsen, and it premiered in July 2014. Running for 5 seasons and 121 episodes until March 2020, it was one of Nickelodeon’s last true live action megahit, at least as a franchise. By May 2017, a movie was in development, but it didn’t truly gain traction until Norman signed a development deal in January 2022. In the show’s final episodes, new characters were introduced that would become powered and part of a new team Ray and Schwoz formed, leading to the spinoff Danger Force. Premiering promptly after the mothership’s finale, Norman would produce and guest star, and the series had a more standard 3 season and 63 episode run that ended this past February.

Henry Danger: The Movie is directed by Joe Menendez, whose credits include Star Trek: Picard, the Legends of the Hidden Temple movie and the Snowpiercer series and written by franchise veterans Chris Nowak & Jake Farrow. When Nickelodeon and Schneider parted ways in 2018, Nowak was made showrunner and Farrow executive producer of Henry Danger. Nowak also created and developed Danger Force, but something got in the way of keeping the creator credit (union rules?), which reverted to Schneider and Olsen, who get “Based on the original series created by” credit here. Norman serves as executive producer along with Menendez, Nowak and Farrow. An original song, “Smile”, is performed by Frankie Grande and written by Samantha Martin, Niki Hexum & Zack Hexum. Production for Nickelodeon Studios is overseen by Shauna Phelan, Head of Nickelodeon and Awesomeness Live-Action, along with Executive Brittany Cope.
As far as Paramount+ original films, it is the second to be scheduled for the upcoming year, but first to premiere, as Star Trek: Section 31 is set to premiere the following Friday, January 24. The streamer and the network already welcomed The Thundermans, a series that had a crossover with Henry Danger, back with The Thundermans Return earlier this year, and that will be followed up with a series premiering next year as well whose title is on the verge of being announced.
