Liza Colón-Zayas Joins ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
The brand new cast for Tom Holland’s web-slinger is continuing to build with the 'The Bear' star
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is ready to jump in the line to bring in another star of The Bear. Liza Colón-Zayas has joined Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth Spider-Man film from Sony Pictures to star Tom Holland and be set in the MCU, thus produced by Marvel Studios. Set for release on July 31, 2026, her role is being kept under wraps, and both companies declined to comment.
Colón-Zayas is the second reported new cast member after Sadie Sink, as thanks to a hastily-thought-through spell crafted by Doctor Strange on Peter Parker’s request which essentially erased his identity from all record to prevent multiversal incursion brought on by the spell in 2021’s No Way Home, Peter is expected to begin his brand new day with a new life surrounded by a new status quo. Even still, because four and a half years is a long benching already, Jacob Batalon and Zendaya are both expected to return as Peter’s best friend Ned Leeds and girlfriend Michelle “MJ” Jones and won’t have to wait until the next film for them to come back into Peter’s life.
