'MST3K' Creator Joel Hodgson Gives Thanks In Final Update For First Season 14 Crowdfunding Campaign
Hopefully, after regrouping they can try again some next Sunday AD
The season 14 crowdfunding campaign for Mystery Science Theater 3000 came to an end early Sunday, 15 (16?) hours after the end of the Mega Turkey Day Marathon Telethon. Despite the marathon bringing a significant jump to the totals, the campaign officially failed to reach its goal. It raised $2,715,304, which was 68% of the modified $4 million goal, and about 56.57% of the original $4.8 million goal.
Creator Joel Hodgson released a final update for the campaign, expressing gratitude for the support, enthusiasm, and encouragement in regards to the campaign even with the result it had. This also extends to the input, feedback, concerns and questions given to them over the course of the campaign. He also had to reaffirm that the campaign not succeeding meant no one’s pledges would be collected and charged.
