Shine Bright, Car Fight, Won’t The Years Go By Tonight In Netflix’s 'Long Story Short' Teaser
The animated series from 'Bojack Horseman' creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg premieres on August 22
August will be here before we know it, and that means Raphael Bob-Waksberg’s next animated series for Netflix, Long Story Short, will be premiering very soon, the BoJack Horseman anniversary-celebrating August 22 in fact. But even with these few weeks left, the general public had yet to see the show in motion. And so on Wednesday, the streamer released a rather brief teaser for the ten-episode 25-minute series, introducing us to the Schmooper siblings.
It starts with Avi, voiced by Superstore and Monsters at Work’s Ben Feldman, listening to his music, as youngest sibling Yoshi, voiced by The Neighborhood’s Max Greenfield, sits in a car seat and has the bright idea of poking the nose of someone easily irritated by a breach of personal space: his sister Shira, voiced by Disenchantment and Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson. Flash forward to their adult years and it seems Shira is still set off by breaches, even when it’s just letting a knee rest. Some things never change, but the fight that breaks out is much more physical and requiring Avi’s intervention. The series follows them follow from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys and compromises.
