Superman Day Brings 'My Adventures' Season 2 First Look, James Gunn & David Corenswet Commemoration
Rachel Brosnahan isn’t the only Lois Lane to mark the occasion
It’s Superman Day! April 18, 1938 was the day Action Comics #1 was published, the debut appearance of Superman. The 86th anniversary. It might feel a bit déjà vu as February 29 was the celebrated birthday of the character, and was marked with the upcoming DC Universe Superman movie starting production and dropping its Legacy subtitle. However, while it was quiet (largely because the DC-sanctioned one is in June), there was still enough acknowledgment of substance. Biggest? Adult Swim released a sneak peek of My Adventures with Superman season 2.
The 15-second clip really was just a peek, but it was the first bit of the show we’ve seen since the first season finale aired in September. The video description is just the general template of all the links, nothing specific to the video. Up in the Arctic, Jor-El appears to warn Clark to prepare himself, and “there is another” like him. Felt familiar, it did. Zod? Kara? Original character? We see some suiting up, but only on the arm and obscured by glitching very reminiscent of the “Wild Blue Yonder” portions of Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials trailers. Large debris of some sort falls on Clark. Is it pieces of the Fortress? Unfortunately, no premiere date has been given, but we’re still managing to see season 2 stuff for this show before seeing any sort of animation from Batman: Caped Crusader, the show it was destined to be paired with for the original vision of Cartoon Network’s ACME Night before Warner Bros. Discovery abandoned the latter and Amazon Prime Video rescued it.
Meanwhile, down in Atlanta, Superman director James Gunn captioned a picture of him and his Clark/Superman David Corenswet and Lois Lane Rachel Brosnahan with On this day in 1938 the first superhero entered our atmosphere via the imaginations of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. He gave us someone to believe in, not because of his great physical power, but because of his character and determination to do right no matter what. Happy Superman Day to all of you!” with appropriate tags. In his hands is Action Comics #1, but a reproduction. Meanwhile Corenswet wields an Action Comics issue from the Golden Age, and Brosnahan, has All-Star Superman #1, one of the most influential runs for this iteration of Superman, so much that in the DC Universe “Gods and Monsters” slate reveal video, that cover artwork, sans logo, was used to represent the movie. Superman & Lois’s Lois Lane, Elizabeth Tulloch marked the occasion in her Instagram Stories, remarking synchronicity that only four days of filming remained on the series.
My Adventures with Superman stars Jack Quaid as Supes, Alice Lee as Lois Lane, and Ishmael Sahid as Jimmy Olsen. Jason Marnocha voices Jor-El. Developer and executive producer Jake Wyatt is showrunner, and all ten first season episodes are streaming on Max.

Makes perfect sense.
Who would the "My" in the title be?
