The natural conclusion to this year’s Disney+-exclusive episodes has arrived
Happy Earth Day everyone! Your ecology test is tomorrow, because it happened again. The third and final Disney+-exclusive episode of The Simpsons for its 36th season, “Yellow Planet” has been released in time for the occasion. The episode’s trailer, like that for the previous “The Past and the Furious” in February, was released with the episode. Well, technically after the episode, later in the morning than the usual Disney+ traffic.
Done in the style of National Geographic and BBC nature documentaries like Blue Planet, “Yellow Planet” sees Homer and Marge navigate the ocean as whales from different series, specifically a beluga who falls in love with a narwhal and lies to become part of her pod, Bart hatches as an iguana struggling to survive, and Lisa leads her flock as a finch to great societal advancement. Along the way, familiar Springfield faces appear in unexpected roles, shaping their journeys in the wild.

Well, Ned’s denying, the boys are questioning, much to their dad’s chagrin. Jimbo is one of the orcas at OceanLand (with Dolph and Kearney of course), where Homer ends up after being found out. Milhouse’s new voice hasn’t been announced yet, but Mo Collins debuted as Jimbo in the April 13 episode “P.S. I Hate You”
“Yellow Planet” is the last Disney+-exclusive episode for season 36, but it is understood not to be the last overall, and there will be more over the four seasons The Simpsons was just renewed for.
