All Good Things Are Doomed In 'Doom Patrol' Final Episodes Trailer
I'm with Madame Rouge on this one...
Just a day after the Entertainment Weekly feature with director Bosede Williams, DC and Max have released the trailer for the final six episodes of Doom Patrol, designated season 4B. The episodes will roll out identically to its first half as well as both halves of Titans’s final season, starting with two episodes on October 12 and then weekly for the four weeks after culminating in a November 9 series finale.
These six episodes will see “the Doom Patrol meet old friends and foes as they race to defeat Immortus and get back their longevities,” the official logline says. “Battling between saving the world and each other, the Doom Patrol are forced to face their deepest fears and decide if they are ready to let go of the past in order to take their future into their own hands — and away from the zombie butts.” Yup, the zombie butts are at it again.
The final season’s first half ran in December and January, following the first half of Titans’s final season, but did not do so when the latter’s own final six episodes ran April to May. Another two hintless months of silence started to worry Madame Rouge actress Michelle Gomez and her fans, that it even got to DC Studios head James Gunn, who relayed the assurance that the show had not fallen to a hypothetical resurgence of Warner Bros. Discovery writeoff horrors. “I now have confirmation: As I surmised, no, Doom Patrol episodes are absolutely NOT being shelved,” he later followed up, “even though the premiere date for the next shows hasn’t yet been announced to the public”. And now all worries are fully put to rest.
The titular Doom Patrol team as it stands this season consists of Gomez’s Madame Rouge, Robotman, voiced by Brendan Fraser and suit acted by Riley Shanahan, Jane, played by Diane Guerrero, Rita played by April Bowlby, Cyborg played by Joivan Wade, and Negative Man voiced by Matt Bomer and physically portrayed by Matthew Zuk when wrapped in bandages and wearing prosthetic makeup when not in bandages.
