'Among Us' Animated Series Discovers Black And Blue (And Cyan) Crewmates
Dan Stevens, Liv Hewson, and Kimiko Glenn join the cast of the animated series based on the popular video game
New crewmates have been discovered on The Airship. Dan Stevens, Liv Hewson, and Kimiko Glenn have joined the cast of the Among Us animated series from CBS Studios, Infinity Train creator Owen Dennis, and Innersloth, the studio behind the popular game it’s adapting.
Stevens voices Blue, the Airship’s Doctor, of course tasked with physical and emotional care. Described as knowledgeable, charming and “so hot”, he also claims to have a doctor in poetry. Hewson voices Black, so dedicated to her geology that she prefers rocks to people. Top supervisor of the ore shipments, she’s described as “stoic, coarse” and “rock-like” herself. Glenn will voice Cyan, the gemologist whose job is to “supervise the vibes” as she “heals through crystals”. Oh and the vibes are bad. Of course they are. Paranoia abound.
Stevens might be best known for starring as the Beast in Disney’s 2017 live action Beauty and the Beast, having broken out on Downton Abbey. He also starred on FX’s X-Men-based series Legion, and replaced Justin Roiland as lead character Korvo on Hulu’s Solar Opposites, also appearing in the streamer’s limited series Welcome to Chippendales and Gaslit. He also stars in Godzilla x Kong: A New Empire, which opens Friday, and the Neon horror film Cuckoo, which screened at SXSW earlier in March and will be released in the United States in August.
Hewson currently stars on Paramount+ with Showtime’s Yellowjackets but is also known for starring on the Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet with Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant, and both seasons of the KDrama Dramaworld. Her film roles include Bombshell and Let It Snow. Glenn, while still known for Orange is the New Black, has garnered a plethora of voice roles, starting with at least the first of eight episodes of Bojack Horseman as Stefani Stilton, recurring as Lena on the DuckTales reboot and General Ezor on Voltron: Legendary Defender. She’s Peni Parker in Sony’s Spider-Verse trilogy, Bridgette in the no-longer-available Close Enough, Baby Shark in Baby Shark’s Big Show! and its movie, the lead Horse in Centaurworld, and is now starring on Kiff and Hazbin Hotel.
Among Us’s official logline matches that of the game’s premise, stating “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the “Impostor” or fall victim to its murderous designs.” Titmouse is doing the animation for the series still without a home network, developed by CBS Eye Animation Productions in partnership with independent game studio Innersloth, who made the original game. Along with Dennis, its other executive producers are Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser of Innersloth, along with Titmouse’s Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina.
