Doomsday Approaches For The 828ers In Netflix's Trailer For The Final Episodes Of 'Manifest'
The series, rescued from NBC, ends on June 2
Figured it was only right to follow up. It’s been getting rough for the survivors of that fated flight. On Thursday, Netflix released the official trailer for the second half of Manifest season 4, the back ten episodes of the 20-episode season.
"When we boarded [Flight] 828, we had no idea what a tortured, life-changing journey we were about to embark on," Ben Stone, played by Josh Dallas tells a crowd to kick off the new trailer. With the apocalypse Angelina has brought on, the death date of June 2, 2024 (inspiring the chosen release date for these episodes) thought to be reserved for 828ers is actually for the whole world. Her “nefarious” sapphire powers continue to cause chaos, leading to a battle between good and evil down to the very end.
The official synopsis reads: “In the aftermath of Angelina unleashing a devastating volcanic fissure, the passengers face severe scrutiny in a world fueled by 828er hate, no longer free to solve their own Callings without constant supervision by the unscrupulous 828 Registry. A mysterious accident delivers ominous warnings on a biblical scale that will further jeopardize the livelihood of all the passengers.”
Michaela, played by Melissa Roxburgh, struggles to cope with the death of her husband, Zeke, played by Matt Long, which happened at the very end of episode 10, while simultaneously trying to save everyone else. However, she seems to be finding comfort in her ex-fiancé, Jared, played by J.R. Martinez, as they team up to find new methods to investigate Callings. Ben and Saanvi (Parveen Kaur) try to work with the Registry authorities, which brings grim results for the passengers. Meanwhile for Cal (Ty Doran), his sapphire-laden dragon scar reactivates, giving a sliver of hope for the averting of their deaths. However, it doesn’t make a great time for him mentally, as Angelina insists their scars make them connected.
Luna Blaise, Holly Taylor, and Daryl Edwards also star in Manifest’s final episodes, which make their landing on Netflix on June 2.
