It’s only been about a week since Adult Swim revealed the premiere date for the seventh season of its hit animated series Rick and Morty. On Thursday, the network released a video unveiling the season’s ten episode titles, with the usual vague bro-y descriptions that even are officially released on providers. to not spoil anything. It’s assumed these titles are in order but it’s not explicitly stated.
The first title revealed is “How Poopy Got His Poop Back”, giving Mr. Poopy Butthole a focus episode to possibly kick off the season. This will likely be the rebound the character needs to pick himself back up again after his last two appearances have seen his marriage fall apart. He even turned turned to bodybuilding in a futile attempt to get over her, but gives into needing her after breaking his leg while trying to do a heavy squat. He asks his trainer to use their own number to get her to help as she blocked his. Butthole must be pretty depressed as the description is a plea just to get him to hang out, while at the same time unsympathetic to his plight: “Broh, come out with us. You’re being so boring dude.” in front of Taco Tambourine.
Next up is “The Jerrick Trap”, with a description that reads “Gotta be mindful Broh. Big brain stuff here.” This could mean some Saw-inspired trap to get out of. Third is “Air Force Wong”, whose description says “Virginia is for lovers, broh.” Episode four is when the moon hits your eye like gazorpazorp pie: “That’s Amorte”, which says “Broh. That’s a-some good spaghetti.” “Unmortricken” might be a drug trip if the title duo are “wildin out, broh” and “getting up to stuff”. “Rickfending Your Mort” has an arcade backdrop, and you “gotta keep those receipts, dawg”. “Wet Kuat Amortican Summer”, whose backdrop is the Mindblowers room, is a Morty and Summer episode set at the high school. “Rise of the Numbericons: The Movie” claims to be a whole movie broh! Even with all ten titles present! Unless the episode is about the movie. With action and adventure! “Mort: Ragnarick” will have you seeing Valhalla, maybe. Someone saw it, I swear. The apparent season finale “Fear No Mort” gets to reference Shakespeare in its title and FDR in its description. You know the quote.
Obviously, none of these do much to indicate which ones will follow through on Rick’s hunt for Rick Prime, as promised a focus it was stated to be in the season six finale. And understandably being just a week later, the replacements for Rick and Morty following Justin Roiland’s firing are still unknown. It’s not the first time the show has done episode title reveal videos, as they did so for seasons 4 and 5 as well. At the very least, 4A and 5 are on the Adult Swim Twitter, and 4B is on YouTube, with the new one for seven.
