'Spidey And His Amazing Friends' Season 4 Trailer Released As Season 6 Voyage Set
We’re going to be seeing a lot of preteen Peter, Gwen and Miles
Disney is all-in on Spider-Man cartoons. Already having Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man renewed through season 3 before it premiered, and announced Disney Jr.’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends was renewed through season 5 in February, the company has announced as the Annecy International Animation Film Festival begins that Spidey has been renewed for a sixth season as well, just a few days after releasing the trailer for its imminent fourth season.
Announced among a raft of renewals including Chibiverse season 4 (said to be bigger than previous), SuperKitties season 4, as well as Playdate with Winnie The Pooh seasons 3 and 4, and second seasons for Robogobo and Ariel, Spidey and His Amazing Friends will surpass the 1994-1998 Spider-Man: The Animated Series for most amount of seasons, as it had five. With 84 half hour episodes through its first three seasons and therefore averaging 28, the series is already guaranteed to hit and surpass 100 in the upcoming fourth, and topple Ultimate Spider-Man in episode count shortly after. It won’t overtake Avengers Assemble for Marvel animated series overall until season 5. Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis calls it “building a strong lineup anchored by the world’s most beloved characters and designed for how kids watch today.”
'Spidey And His Amazing Friends' Swashbuckles Up For Season 4; Soaks In Premiere Date
A new season of Spidey And His Amazing Friends is coming very soon to Disney Jr., and that means it’s time to reveal what preschooler-friendly gimmick will be its crux. Peter, Gwen, and Miles have already glowed in the dark, and they’ve already been given
Getting back to season four, its trailer is only 30 seconds, because all preschoolers need is just a standard TV spot. Peter, Gwen, and Miles swing into action, growing kaiju size against the Lizard. They meet up with Captain America, while the Green Goblin gets ahold of his shield, but can’t control it well. Escaping mechs, riding Cap’s motorcycle, applying their pirate gear and underwater vehicle transformations with Jeff the Land Shark by their side, it’s go water webs go, swinging right from their ship. The season premieres on June 16 on Disney Jr. and Disney Channel in separate timeslots, with the first six episodes next day on Disney+. Oh and earlier this week they subtly dropped Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+ will premiere on July 21 but I’m waiting on some sort of release for the full extent of information.
Spidey and His Amazing Friends stars Alkaio Thiele as Peter Parker, Audrey Bennett as Gwen Stacy, and Carter Young, who takes over from Jakari Fraser as Miles Morales. It is produced by Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios in association with Atomic Cartoons. The series songwriter/composer is Patrick Stump.
Disney Channel’s 'Best Band In The World' Becomes 'Electric Bloom'
We’ve previously explored how Disney Channel’s sitcom slate became super thin, with a period of depletion that ended with the premiere of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.
