Hell Yeah! Kite Man's 'Harley Quinn' Spinoff Has A Teaser
The series is coming in 2024 to Max
To mark the end of Harley Quinn’s fourth season, Max didn’t have a fifth season renewal announcement ready. Instead, DC and Warner Bros. have had a spinoff, Kite Man: Hell Yeah! in the works and released a teaser for that, to the delight of many.
In the series, a Kite Man and his girlfriend Golden Glider take their relationship to the next level by opening Noonan’s, a bar in the shadow of Lex Luthor’s Legion of Doom. Serving drinks to dangerous supervillains was never going to be easy, but sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows insane, and they’re always glad to hide a body.

While seasons 4A of long-traveled, semi-related live action DC series Titans and Doom Patrol were very much in tandem late last year, with the latter following the former as they each aired 6 episodes over five weeks from November to January.
Matt Oberg reprises his role of Kite Man while Stephanie Hsu steps in for Cathy Ang as Golden Glider. James Adomian continues as Bane, Natasia Demetriou is Malice Vundabar, a character originally announced to be part of Harley’s cast but had yet to appear, Janelle James replaces Wanda Sykes as Queen of Fables, Jonathan Banks as Noonan, Keith David takes over from DCAU repriser Michael Ironside as Darkseid in frankly genius casting, Michael Imperioli is Joe/Moe Dubelz, Rory Scovel as Gus the Goon, and Judith Light as Helen Villigan. Somehow, the late Lance Reddick managed to take over as Lex Luthor from Giancarlo Esposito, which makes an intriguing turn of events. Harley’s own presence in the trailer may indicate something along the lines of SpongeBob’s presence as a recurrer in The Patrick Star Show, but could be lesser.
Kite Man: Hell Yeah! is executive produced by Harley Quinn co-creators Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey, in addition to Harley’s voice Kaley Cuoco. Sam Register also executive produces while Lorey serves as showrunner. Halpern and Schumacker had stepped aside as showrunners after Quinn season 3 to focus on this series. Suzanna Makkos, executive vice president of original comedy and adult animation for Max and Adult Swim said “We love the wild and fun world of Harley Quinn so much we just had to make a spin-off and who better to center it around than the outcast Kite Man. Justin, Patrick, and Dean have created the perfect local hangout for Gotham City’s not-so-finest at Noonan’s, where bar patrons can blow off steam after a long day of mayhem.” It’s produced by Delicious Non-Sequitur, Lorey Stories, and Yes, Norman Productions in association with Warner Bros. Animation, and is targeting a 2024 premiere.
