'Tiny Toons Looniversity' Announces Max-First Admissions; Watch The New Trailer
All ten episodes will drop at once before weekly linear premieres on Cartoon Network
The official trailer for Tiny Toons Looniversity, the reboot of Tiny Toon Adventures has been released, along with premiere dates for Max and Cartoon Network.
The now-related Babs and Buster Bunny go along with Hampton J. Pig, Plucky Duck, and Sweetie Bird to Acme Looniversity, the college of their dreams. Censors are no longer of concern. Yosemite Sam welcomes the new class, as they deal with their computers and anvils. Buster and Babs, who are indeed twins, get a pie to the face when they learn they’re having separate classes for the first time. Plucky and Buster are roommates in territorial conflict. There’s football and pizza and Sweetie brings the thunder! Foghorn Leghorn gives the freeze gun a cold reception. Open mic night! Traditional Looney Tunes crossdressing collab between Bugs and Buster!
Buster and Hampton star as Elmer Fudd and Bugs in a play (yes, bunny does not play bunny) probably recreating a classic short that also features Fifi as Granny, Lil Sneezer as Yosemite Sam, and Plucky as a cactus, so that’s pretty cool. Tiny Toons Looniversity stars Eric Bauza as Buster, as well as Daffy and Gossamer; Ashleigh Hairston is Babs while David Errigo Jr. voices Hamton J. Pig and Plucky; and Tessa Netting is Sweetie. Among the staff, Candi Milo now voices Granny, who serves as Looniversity Dean, as well as Witch Hazel. Jeff Bergman is this series’s Bugs, as he was in the original series Bob Bergen’s Porky here again, and Cree Summer is still Elmyra, even if she’s a bit out of focus.
The series, ordered for HBO Max and Cartoon Network in 2020, will drop all 10 first season episodes on Max on September 8, and have a weekly Saturday morning 9 AM premiere slot on Cartoon Network starting the next day. This is a definite contrast to other arrangements, which, whether for linear shows like Craig of the Creek or other shared shows like Unicorn: Warriors Eternal and My Adventures with Superman, who were intended for Cartoon Network as well, they arrive episode-by episode the day after they air linearly.
