Paramount+ Releases Trailer For 'Monster High 2' And A Familiar Premiere Date
Roll calling all the monsters with a same day Nickelodeon premiere
Halloween is just around the corner, which means the networks and streamers are readying their celebratory events. Disney+ has announced its arrival date for Haunted Mansion and begun marketing the upcoming Goosebumps series. They're putting Werewolf by Night on Hulu too. Earlier this week Paramount+ released the trailer and poster for Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, and now they're doing similar in the direction of the kids, with it and Nickelodeon's live action Monster High 2, based on the Mattel toys. Such announcement was overtly teased on Wednesday.
The sequel to last year's Monster High: The Movie arrives exactly a year's worth of Thursdays later, streaming October 5 on Paramount+, with its linear premiere that night on Nickelodeon at 7 PM, and available internationally on both platforms on the same day in certain international markets where the service is available. Practically identical rollout to the first movie. There will be repeat airings every weekend for the rest of the month, as an intrinsic part of the network's Monster Movie Madness stunt. No word if that's the whole Halloween branding or just a sub-branding. Other international territories 'premiere dates will be announced later this year. No word as to whether it will be in the streamer’s Peak Screaming collection, but it should be expected.
Monster High 2 follows Clawdeen Wolf, played by Miia Harris, Draculaura, played by Nayah Damasen and Frankie Stein, played by Ceci Balagot as sophomore year begins at Monster High. The power of three is put to the test as they face even bigger challenges this year, like new students including feisty British were-cat Toralei, played by Salena Qureshiback, after a year abroad in Scaris, France. New powers, evolving friendships, and an even bigger foe that could not only rip apart their friendship, but change the world forever? They're ready to face it. Check out the poster below.
The film also stars Case Walker as Deuce Gorgon; Marci T. House as Headmistress Bloodgood; Scotch Ellis Loring as Clawdeen's dad Apollo, I'm in the Band's Steve Valentine as Draculaura's dad, Dracula; Jy Prishkulnik as Cleo de Nile; Lina Lecompte as Lagoona; Justin Derickson as Heath Burns; Lilah Fitzgerald as Ghoulia; Nasiv Sall as Abbey Bominable; Bonale Fambrini as Ellis; Kyra Leroux as Demi Boovais; and Ana Ortiz as Zamara Prue.
